This was taken during a pre-dawn walk in Panthorn Park. There was frost on the grass and a light haze in the air. Very peaceful and quiet.

Most of the falls is ice at this temperature.

I know the difference between snow & frost. We here in Louisiana get so few chances for winter pictures, though, and especially this early in the year. For it to happen during a frosty challenge, I had to participate.

Frosty bird nest I found while looking fro Frost Flowers at Montauk State Park over Thanksgiving Weekend.

Frost Flower at Montauk State Park. They form when the water in the stem freezes. The stem burst open and the water leaks out and freezes into thin ribbons. You have to find them before the sun does because they melt really fast once the sun hits them.
