This image expands when opened.*** The hurluberlu coiffure with bun and forehead ornament were in style.*** This is her Wikipedia article: "Pauline Therese Louise was a daughter of the Duke of Wuerttemberg Friedrich Ludwig and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg.* Friedrich Ludwig, called Louis, served in the Russian army and as governor of Riga thanks to the good relations with the Russian imperial family. His sister was the Russian Tsarina Maria Feodorovna. Pauline, third daughter of the couple, was born in Riga.* At the request of the king, the family returned to Wuerttemberg. Pauline married her cousin, King William I of Wurttemberg, son of King Frederick I of Auguste Wuerttemberg and Princess Caroline of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel in April 1820.* Pauline gave her husband three children, including the future King Charles I. 101 gunshots and the tolling bells of all the churches in Stuttgart proclaimed the happy event in 1823. But the marriage was not permanently happy. She was especially impressed by the enduring relationship of the king with the Stuttgart musiican(?) Amalie von Stubenrauch. She spent the last years of life mainly in Switzerland. The alienation of the couple was publicly exposed after the death of the king. The Queen was excluded from the inheritance.* Pauline died in March 1873 age 72 years in Stuttgart.* Pauline was very popular with the Wurttemberger people. Many streets and squares named after her, for example, in Stuttgart, Esslingen or Friolzheim. From their social activity comes today's Stuttgarter Pauli's care for needy children and a nursing home of the Ev. Heimstiftung (Stuttgart) in Friedrichshafen, das "Konigin-Paulinen-Stift."
