Around the end of January, Kaycee bit Ziggy through the cage bars when she flew to his cagetop. The damage did not go all the way through to leave a hole, but it was in a critical spot which could cause future problems with beak growth. Sort of like injuring your cuticle. Ziggy began a regimen of antibiotic orally and a topical salve on the beak. He is being fed soft foods to maintain body weight.
