We are becoming rare and most New Zealanders do not even know what we look like, let alone that we even exist. There are a few breeders outside of New Zealand/Australia and some are in the United States.
We are a happy, loving, inquisitive "Grass Parakeet", not as affectionate as many parrot families, as we won't stay on your shoulder...we want to go exploring...and not near as destructive as some...however we are quite playful and can be very mischievous! We do fly, alot and a flight of at least 15' long is wonderful, to us. AND we do very much enjoy walk upside down, ALOT, across the top of our flights/cages, quite often. LOL
