White and turquoise is a popular color scheme for the 55 Mercury. Its sharp looking to be sure, especially in the interior where the reflections from the colorful seats seem to create a difuse blue aura. Personally, I prefer the gravity and punch of yellow on black.

This is it: Tom's 55 Mercury Montclair. The queen of Mercury Row at Rebel Run 2007. The color scheme is the grabber. Its yellow on black which makes for a tasty contrast. Yellow steel hardtop on a black body with a black and yellow interior. Tom said his uncle bought the car new, drove it lightly for a few years, kept it garaged, wiped it down after driving in weather, and sadly, died after several years of ownership. The car was stored for dacades after. I think Tom said he has only had it a few years and that it has <70K on the odometer. He fitted it with a continental kit and the car carries it well. Continental kits frequently look like an anchor dragging behind the car in some instances, but it looks natural and appropriate on this 55. Tom is a lucky man. And so is Tom's son who expects to inherit the car. Just remember guys, ownership of something like that is a sacred trust. You are preserving it for ALL of us so we can peek at its beauty once in a while. Enjoy.
