- How long will it take me to make a Picture Show video?
For most of our Picture Show videos, it takes 3 minutes to render 30 seconds of video. If you are making a 10-minute video, this can take a while - even a couple of hours. Picture Show uses patent-pending technology to analyze your images and everything about the selected music - its structure, genre, energy, build, rhythm - before developing a blueprint for the motion design of your video. The remaining time is spent rendering your video to custom-generate your final Picture Show.

- Why aren't all my images appearing in my Picture Show video?
Videos stop either when the music runs out or there are no more images left to display, whichever comes first. We display, on average, 24-40 images per minute, depending on how fast or slow the song is. There is a maximum of 10 minutes per song and/or 300 images. So, make sure that there are enough images to sustain your song and that your song is long enough to show all your images. We also have a feature in the Video Options link that lets you adjust the pace at which images get displayed. Click the link and uncheck "Automatic". You will then be able to move the pace to "faster" or "slower". In this way, you can show more or fewer images per minute while using the same song. On slower-speed, 12-20 items will be displayed per minute. On faster-speed, 48-80 items will be displayed per minute.

- Why is my video constantly starting and stopping?
There are several different ways to help videos that aren't loading quite like they should:
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Make sure you have a high connection speed. Closing windows or tabs with loading or streaming content can help, too.
- Make sure your Adobe Flash Player is up-to-date. You can always check your version of Flash and update it at www.adobe.com.
- Try a different Internet browser. For instance, if you're using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox or Chrome to see if that helps.
- Pause the video until it has fully loaded.

- Why are photos toward the end not making it in the Picture Show even though the last image is?
We ensure the last image will be in the video, even when all the rest can't. So, you might want to get rid of a few images from the middle to get the ones leading up to the last image in there.

- Why is the MP4 pixelated in Windows Media Player?

- Why can't I see my Picture Show video?
There are a number of reasons you may not be able to see your Picture Show video. The usual problem is the Adobe Flash Player. Please be sure you have the current version for your operating system. You need version 10.1 or above. The next likely issue is Javascript, which you may have turned off in your browser. This one will pretty much disable the entire site, though, so it's unlikely you've got it turned off if nothing else is giving you problems. Lastly, it is possible that another piece of software on your computer, such as a firewall or anti-virus program, is causing an issue. If so, you may need to allow the Flash player to access the external video file by adjusting some settings. Please contact Adobe.com and/or customer support for the manufacturer of the security software for help with this. After you have made any of these changes, do a full page refresh (clearing cache) by holding CTRL or SHIFT (different for each system) while pressing the refresh button.

- What size/resolution/format should my images be?
We recommend that you pre-crop your images to a 4:3 or 3:4 (landscape or portrait) aspect ratio, ideally at a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels or higher. Lower resolution images will still work, however, they may not look as good at higher resolutions or when viewing on DVD. Images not in a 4:3 aspect ratio are still usable, but they may be cropped in the final video. If you're wondering what DPI you should use, keep in mind that DPI is only for print, so 1280 x 720 pixels is enough information. (For instance, a 1024 x 768 pixel image at 300 dpi will print at roughly 3.5 x 2.5 inches, and at 100dpi, it will print at roughly 10 x 7.5 inches. However, the monitor screen ignores all that and just cares about the pixel resolution — the 1024 x 768 number.)

- How can I slow down my Picture Show video? (My images go by too quickly.)
There are three ways to slow down a video:
- Choose a slower song.
- Use our "Spotlight" feature.
- You can speed up or slow the pace of the video by clicking the video options link. Slide towards 'slower' to make a slower video (or faster to speed up the video).
All Picture Show visuals are designed to intelligently respond to the genre, structure, rhythm, and energy of your music. By remaking the video to a more mellow tune, your images will appear at a slower pace. In the image area, there are a buttons beneath the thumbnail versions of your photos. The one with the star on it is the "Spotlight" button. Highlight the images that you'd like emphasized and then press the "Spotlight" button. Our engine will then know to sustain them on screen longer.

- How many images should I use in my video?
On average, 18-40 items (text, images, video clips) get displayed per minute of video depending on the song's tempo. For full-length Picture Shows, you can choose to have your images displayed at faster or slower speed. On slower-speed, 12-20 items will be displayed per minute. On faster-speed, 48-80 items will be displayed per minute. Picture Show videos stop either when the music runs out or when there is no more imagery left to display whichever comes first. So, depending on the length and tempo of the song chosen, make sure that there are enough images to see the song until its end, and conversely, that your song is long enough to show all the images that you'd like included in your video. If the video doesn't come out right in terms of timing, you can always remake the video. You can add or delete images or switch-out the soundtrack until your video is just right.

- Can my uploaded video clips include audio?
Your Picture Show video's audio is off by default. To turn it on, click on the video clip and notice that the preview area comes up to the right. There, you can opt into turning the audio on in your video footage. The music chosen for your Picture Show's soundtrack will be at a lower volume so that your footage's audio makes it into your Picture Show video.

- Can I decide what part of my video clip gets included in my Webshots Picture Show video?
You can click on any uploaded video clip to preview it. Move the grey bar to choose the section of the clip you'd like to display. If you'd like to make the selection longer or shorter, adjust the length where it says "set length." You're limited to 10 seconds per video clip to ensure that the Picture Show videos retain a professional feel. If you need to show more than 10 seconds, we recommend using the "duplicate" tool on the clip and intersperse photos between them. Or, you can put the video clips side by side.
