Webshots has partnered with PhotoWorks, a leading online digital photo and image printing company to provide fulfillment of its customers' digital images. Because you already have an account with Webshots, you are not required to create an account with PhotoWorks.

- What is an alert?
An alert is notification of selected Webshots content such as Homepage Photo of the Day, Featured Albums and Blog updates that are sent to you via email, RSS or your mobile device on a daily or weekly basis. For example, you can get a week's worth of featured albums emailed to you at once so you never miss one.

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

- How do I upload a video to Webshots?
Uploading video(s) to Webshots is as simple as uploading photos. To add videos to your Community albums, go to the homepage and then click on ""Upload More"" (be sure to login). 1. Click the upload tab. 2. select the video(s). 3. Select the album title that you'd like to add videos to or create a new album. 4. Select the Category and Subcategory that applies 5. Click ?Start upload? 6. Next you can add a title and captions to your video and save all changes.7. Now you click ?View Album?.

- Can I use Webshots' images other than my own outside of the Webshots software and website?
If you would like to use a Community photo, you can leave a comment on the image and ask the owner if you can have their permission to use it. Be sure to leave your contact information so the member can respond.
If you would like to use a Pro Shot, you can contact the photographer or company via the link or name under the image. Webshots has purchased the rights to use these images within the Webshots Desktop software and website only. We are not authorized to allow them to be used elsewhere.

- How do I download an entire page of photos?
Only Webshots Premium members may download entire pages of Pro Shots photos. Images located in the Today's New Daily Pro Shots as well as all the photos in the Community have to be downloaded one at a time.
To download an entire page of photos: 1. Go to the Pro Shots section.
2. Choose a page of photos you would like to download.
3. Next to the "Download this page of photos" link, click on Regular, High Quality or Wide Screen. The High Quality downloads are the highest resolution available.
The page of photos will automatically download to your Webshots Desktop software.

- How do I transfer Webshots from an old computer to a new one?
The best way to move Webshots to your new computer is to save your "Webshots Data" folder to a disk. (This may require a Zip disk or CD burner, for the folder could contain many images). The "Webshots Data" folder is located in "My Documents" or "Documents." Once you have your new computer, copy the "Webshots Data" folder to "My Documents." When you install the Webshots software it will find the photo Collections and install them.

- Why doesn?t my calendar update?
The Webshots calendar will only update when Webshots is in your taskbar tray. To enable your tray:
Open your Webshots Desktop software.
Click on the blue Settings button.
Click on the Tray tab.
Check the box next to Place Webshots on my task bar tray.
Click on the Downloads tab.
Check the box next to Flash photo reminder camera at...
Click OK.
Occasionally, the Webshots calendar will get stuck. In this case, update your calendar by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+W on your keyboard.

- I'm having problems downloading photos. Can you help me?
First, make sure you have downloaded and installed the Webshots software. Visit http://www.webshots.com/samplers/ and click the "Download Now" to begin the download and installation. To download a Pro Shots Photo, click on either the High Quality, Widescreen or Regular button. If you are in the Community section, click the Download button. Photos will automatically install to your Webshots software.
If you are receiving the error: A problem occurred extracting files to C:\Windows\Temp\WebshotsTemp\, please clear your temporary Internet files.
To clear your temporary Internet files:
Open your Internet browser.
Click on Tools > Internet Options. Click Delete and then select Temporary Internet Files. Check the box and click OK or Delete.

- How do I delete a tag?
Go to the photo, video or album page and look for the tag you want to delete in
your list of tags. Click on the ?x? to delete that tag from just that photo,
video or album.

- I forgot my member name and/or password. How do I log in?
Please click "log in" and then click "Forgot your member name or password." Enter the email address associated with your account(s). Click your member name, and an email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password. Your account information will only be sent to the same email address that is listed in your Account page.

- How do I download images to the Webshots Desktop Software?
Please visit the Webshots Desktop Application page and click the 'Download Now' button to begin the download and installation.
Once you have the Webshots Desktop installed, go to a photo page. If you are in the Pro Shots section, click the High Resolution, Widescreen or Regular button; if you are in the Community section, click the Download link or the green arrow. Photos will automatically download to the Webshots Desktop.

- How do I adjust my wallpaper and screensaver settings on the Webshots Desktop?
To adjust your wallpaper and screensaver settings, first open the Webshots Desktop by double clicking the icon on your desktop.
To change your wallpaper: 1. Select the photo you'd like to use on your desktop wallpaper. 2. Click the ""Set Wallpaper"" button.
To set how often your wallpaper changes: 1. Click the ""Options"" button. 2. Under the ""Wallpaper"" tab, use the drop down menu next to ""Automatically cycle wallpaper every"" to choose your selection of time. 3. Click ""OK"" to save your changes.
To enable your Webshots screensaver: 1. Click the ""Options"" button. 2. Click the ""Screensaver"" tab. 2. Check the box next to ""Use Webshots as screensaver"" 3. Set when you want the screensaver to begin and how long you want each image to display. 4. Click ""OK"" to save your changes.
To have your wallpaper fit the entire screen: 1. Click the ""Options"" button. 2. Click the ""wallpaper"" tab. 2. Check the box next to ""Enlarge picture to best fit desktop"" 3. 3. Choose whether you want the image to ""fit desktop"" ot ""crop with picture's aspect ratio"" 4. Click ""OK"" to save your changes.

- Can I use Webshots Pro Shots for uses other than wallpaper or screensavers?
No. You can't extract or print Webshots Pro Shots images. They are all specially encoded to protect the copyright privileges of our professional photographers. Webshots Pro Shots images can only be used within the Webshots Desktop and on our website.
Webshots has purchased the rights to use the Pro Shots images within Webshots We are not authorized to allow them to be used elsewhere. If you would like to use any of the images, you will need to contact the photographer or company. There is a link or name under most of the images on our website. If you are interested in contacting a member from the Webshots community, you may do so by leaving a comment under the photo. When comments are left, a notification is immediately sent to that member unless the member has disabled that feature.

- How do I upload photos to Webshots?
You can upload photos via the Webshots Desktop or the website.
To upload photos via the Webshots Desktop, first open the Webshots Desktop by double clicking the icon on your desktop.
1. Click the ""My Photos Online"" tab. 2. Click the ""Upload More"" button. 3. Create a new album (""Create New Album"" button) or select an album you have previously created. 4. Click the ""Next"" button. 5. Locate the images on your computer that you would like to upload. 6. Select one image by clicking it, or select multiple images by holding the "CTRL" key and clicking several images (note: the file will highlight when it has been selected) 7. Click ""Open"" 8. Title and edit (if necessary) each photo and click ""Next"" 9. Click ""Finished"" to complete the upload.
To upload from the website, first make sure that you're logged in to your account.
1. Click on ""My Shots"" and choose the ?Upload More? button. 2. Click ?Choose Files? to locate your photos on your computer. 3. To add multiple images, click on photos while holding the ?CTRL? key; this will highlight each image to be uploaded. Click Open. 4. Select or create an album. 5. Select a category and subcategory. 6. Click ?Upload?

- How do I update my email settings?
To update your Webshots account information, you must be logged in. Go to My Shots > Account > Newsletters to update your permissions for newsletters from Webshots and about your account. You can also change your email options here. Go to My Shots > Account > Alerts to update your permissions for Editor's Choice (Photo of the Day), Featured Albums and Webshots blog alert emails. TO save your changes, click "apply changes."

- Why do I get an error every time I download an image?
You may need to clear your Temporary Internet files: Open your Internet browser. Click on Tools —> Internet Options. Click Delete under Browsing History. Now, click the Delete button next to Temporary Internet Files or check the box next to Temporary Internet Files. Click OK. If this does not work, please try the following: Go to Start—> Programs—> Accessories—> System Tools and run Disk Cleanup from the menu.

- What methods of payment do you accept?
Webshots accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover as payment methods for a Premium membership. We can process your order only if you use one of these credit cards, or if you use a bankcard that has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it. If you do not have access to one of these cards, you can still enjoy the Webshots free membership.

- Why am I having problems accessing the Webshots site and/or uploading photos?
You may be behind a firewall, which is interfering with access to and from Webshots. Some common ones may be Zone Alarm or Norton Internet Security. If these are not configured correctly, they can cause issues with receiving the full benefits of the Webshots browsing experience. Please adjust your firewall to allow passage for the entire Webshots.com domain. Refer to the help file in your firewall software for instructions as we cannot give specific instructions for all setups.
If you continue to experience issues, disable your firewall temporarily or contact the company from which you purchased it for proper setup instructions.

If you are using Internet Explorer:
Open Internet Explorer.
Type in the URL of the page you would like to have as your home page in the address bar.
Click on the Tools menu option at the top of the browser.
Select Internet Options.
Under Home page, click Use Current.
Click OK to save the setting.
If you are using Netscape:
Open Netscape.
Type in the URL of the page you would like to have as your home page in the address bar.
Click on the Edit menu option at the top of the browser.
Select Preferences.
Under Home page, click Use Current Page.
Click OK to save the setting.
