I was in Boonton NJ over the weekend and found this lovely old historic home with 2 bikes stacked on the porch. Could not resist taking a photo of it. Used HSL to make the unique purple coloration - my next entry is the original colors of the bike, house and porch.

Hiking in the Ramapo Mountain State Forest, part of Ringwood State Park is always fun, but you do have to be careful as many times bicycles will appear on the trail out of nowhere, and as you can see, these riders are going by pretty fast....

The Ordinary or Penny Farthing as it better known reigned from the early 1870's and production lasted some 20 years. It was the next albeit perhaps not the most logical step in cycle evolution. Penny Farthing came from the comparison of its large and small wheels to penny and farthing coins

This was the art district, but one did not expect to come upon this artisticly bright mosaic bicycle on the the side of the sidewalk and at the cross corner of an intersection.

They had around 100 riders for the ride through the mountains of North Georgia with a total climb of 9,000 feet in the 100 miles. Gilmer County where I live is Also the Mountain Biking Capital of Georgia. I have seen Lance Armstrong ride through Ellijay. This is a big area for bicycle riding. I know I am really a tricycle. My longest journey has been from the china cabinet to the dining table - Alas - No neat bike trails for me. I only tote salt and pepper. But I am way over 50 years old with only one pedal missing. I am one of only three salt and pepper shakers my owner kept from her childhood collection. That makes me special!
