Did you ever wonder how all the Canadian money ends up in Florida? The answer is below
published by: police370
I finally caught one floating in on the wind. This one made it to the North Georgia Mountains as it made it's way to Florida. As I found out from Steve below, they are also a lost memory and ones are not used anymore. Needless to say, this is as close as I will get to Canada for this challenge.

Pictou, The Hector
published by: Celticspaces
On September 15th, 1773, the Hector landed at Brown's Point in Pictou harbour with 189 passengers aboard. These thirty-three families and twenty-five single men began the first Scottish settlement in Nova Scotia and what is now the town of Pictou. Thereafter many other Scots followed the people of the Hector to New Scotland. The events leading to the journey of the Hector began on April 16, 1746 with the Battle of Culloden. A fierce battle was fought between the Scottish Highlanders and British Loyalists. The Highlanders were defeated after only one hour and were then forced to live under British rule.

Banff. Canada's First National Park
published by: McTuffis
In the fall of 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers found a cave containing hot springs on the eastern slopes of Alberta's Rocky Mountains. From that discovery Banff National Park was born. This national park of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers,is one of the world's premier destination spots. From the top of the observation tower, you can see for miles. This park is in the "Blue Canadian Rockies" we hear about in the song by Hank Snow, Jim Reeves and others.

Turquoise Waters at Lake Louise
published by: McTuffis
The glaciers here grind the rock beneath them into a fine powder, called rock flour. Meltwaters wash this powder into the lake. The resultant silty water absorbs all colors of incoming light except the brilliant turquoise and vivid blue that reflects back to our eyes. It is a photographer's dream.

Lake Louise, a Glacial Lake
published by: McTuffis
Meltwaters from six glaciers at the head of this valley feed the lake. The water is cold, less than 50 degrees F in summer. Lake Louise may be frozen from November to June. In the winter the ice can be more than a meter thick. Lake Louise is 70 meters deep.

The Irish Moss industry on Prince Edward Island began as a small cottage industry in the 1930's. The methods of harvesting using horse-drawn rakes to gather the windswept moss were developed on PEI. Irish Moss, which contains carrageenan is used in food production, cosmetics and pharamaceuticals. Today it is mainly drawn by boat, but horses still can be seen especially after a storm.
