I found an old egg box sitting on my front porch whiskey barrel. Added some raffia, moss, flowers and eggs and placed it on some white poster board in my driveway on a good cloudy day. Happy Easter. Enjoy my entire album on eggs

These eggs appear to be covered in Russian currency or stocks from the late 1890's. I'm not sure if they're real or reproductions. They're sitting in a rabbit's foot fern.

I have a small collection of Easter eggs. The egg creative challenge was a perfect opportunity to show some of them off. The egg with sea turtles is a personal favorite, although the paint has faded a bit. The light green egg is glass, the dark green is stone.

We found a killdeer nest in our pasture as we were moving cattle through. They build their nest on the ground and the eggs sure blend in to the surroundings.

Now you all know how the Easter Bunny magically delivers all those Easter eggs to all those baskets for Easter Morning. He has a fleet of magic nests. Brown eggs seem warmer, more friendly, the kind you might find in a hen's nest on a free range farm.

Eggs in a lacy, checkered egg basket are in a good place.

Candy eggs and a large purple decorated egg are surrounded by tulips and bunnies, symbosl of the spring season.

This is my first attempt at decorating an egg in this style. It isn't a family tradition that I grew up with, but one that I have seen and have always wanted to try. The eggs are boiled and simmered with the skins of onions and the natural dye turns the egg this wonderful, warm, rich shade of brown. A razor blade is used to scratch off the design which leaves the white of the eggshell to show through underneath. It is a very relaxing meditative way to prepare for Easter.

Sometimes hard-boiled eggs get boring so I decided to liven them up a bit...

If anyone knows the type of bird the constructs this type of nest, suspended around a branch, and lays this type of egg, please let me know. Western Pa, USA in Mid June...Thanks!!

The brown eggs in this bunch of Easter eggs were colored by boiling them in onion skins, a fun way we color them with an Aunt of mine.
