Whether a ghost or cloud reflection, this was visible from the ground in a second story window so I took photos and did not alter them in anyway. Look at the next picture in this album for context...a second floor window in a park building locked at the time and no one inside. Believe what you want to...

Bran Castle is a national monument and landmark in Romania. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle", it is marketed as the home of the titular character in Bram Stoker's Dracula, which has led to persistent myths that it was once the home of Vlad Ţepeş, ruler of Wallachia. Nevertheless, this is not true. The historical person Vlad III never resided here.

OK - so this isn't exactly candlelight but I thought it had many of the same characteristics. The interior light for the pumpkin is actually a little green LCD light that I thought added to the spookiness of the photo (more so than the original candle). All other light is done via "light painting" with a small flash light.

Okay, this is my first try to make a collage. First there is the castle. We visited there in the middle of the day, but some "fill" turned it to night. The 3 black cats were playing in front of my place; - here they should look like running away from that hungry Monster Cat in the front. I took the Monster Cat from the 3rd picture - - and he got a new big monster eye from the 4th picture. Actually he just had finished his meal and that's why he is licking. He is blind on one eye and the other eye was closed until I gave him that new eye. The size is a bit to large, but very suitable to give the impression of a Monster Cat. Happy Halloween to everyone!!

Not liking the washed out sky in the original picture I played in my Adobe Photoshope and this is what I got. It seemed to make it a bit more spooky.

A 56 year old male photographer vanished off a beach on the southern Oregon coast not far from a haunted lighthouse. The photographer’s tracks were found in the sand but seemed to just disappear. Authorities have not ruled out foul play even though no evidence of a crime was found. The photographer’s vehicle was found in a nearby parking lot. Alien abduction is also under investigation, but investigators believe that gigantic tracks found not far from where the photographer disappeared came out of the sea. The tracks could not be identified and may be from a new unknown species. The species or aliens are believed to be of a higher, intelligent life form because the photographers Nikon is also missing.

Inspired by a Metallica song...I was listening to the radio and their song came on while I was thinking up a idea what to do with this tombstone photo I took.

Sunset over the Gettysburg Memorial Cemetery - took my photo from April 2009 and deepened the color a bit through exposure and enhance - and added a moon, bats and spider web to make it creepy. The feeling in the cemetery was sad and creepy to begin with - this just brings it out more.

This started as an actual photo of my son with his Nike Maxsight contacts in- which we can no longer find anywhere (they were great for baseball) added a few effects for halloween.

Above the crematorium where my mum's parents were cremated, it seems that a human soul is departing this world and entering the next. From heaven rain down the flowers of the earth.

It is genuinely still an atmospheric and intimidating castle! The 'Het Gravensteen' or 'The Castle of the Counts of Flanders' in Ghent. In the Middle Ages prisoners would be dying in the dungeons, bodies would be hanging from the walls and enemies would be hanging from the gatehouse. It was night when I took this photo and I could not clearly see the walls... :-o

The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, many of whom have had their bones artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel. For a week I tried to find this spider. He kept moving around the house leaving webs all over the place. Then, one day, there he was. I won. He's not there anymore.

I loved how this photo can come off as something spooky when in reality it is far from it.

This is a picture I took for the Halloween challenge for 2009. I decided to go with a grainy, black and white photo to add to the ambiance of a nightmare..

This has to be the best roller coaster ride in the state of Florida by far. The fact that you are stopped at the top and dangled over the edge gives that extra excitement, who could ask for anything more?
