Our good friend across the "park" from our home always grows such beautiful flowers. This is one of those varieties.

An absolutely wonderful sunset, and I was just in the right place, at the right time! Beginner's luck? Maybe!! This is the best of about 10 shots I took rapidly, as it changed so quickly. One of my favourite photos. Taken in my back yard!!

This beautiful rose was growing in Mum's front garden 6 mths after her death, on my last visit to her home prior to settlement of the sale. A spotlight effect was added to emphasise the rose's beauty.

These beautiful flowers were on the way out of the Harry P. Leu Gardens. I almost walked by, but stopped long enough to grab this picture. I am not sure of the flowers name, but the beauty speaks for it.

I literally got down on my stomach to take this shot of the hibiscus with the lighthouse in the background. I loved the rich tones in the picture, hope you will too?

Among the Hebrews it was a symbol of watchfulness and promise due to its early flowering, symbolizing God's sudden and rapid redemption of His people after a period when he seems to have abandoned them.

I love our hibiscus plant! It has such fantastic flowers!

Here in Florida with few cold tolerant plants and 11 nights of hard freeze,it has been a challenge to have any color in the yard this spring. The nurseries around here sell out on the drought tolerant plants as fast as they come in. I could use last years photos. Instead I will use this growing baby Cardinal in our Azaela bush. The baby was there a couple of days being chased out of the nest early by a hawk.

We've had the pleasure of watching our azzalias for the last couple of weeks

standing at attention!

So beautiful for such a short time - we always seem to have heavy rain as soon as they bloom.

Brunnera has tiny little flowers: they're a lovely sky blue and bloom with the daffodils.

A garden that is so intense with life and color that it flows into a painting, capturing itself onto the canvas....

There are two mansion houses,a forest and a pool inside these gardens which had been built in Ottoman times and used as a hunting and summer leisure place by the Sultans. Every year in April the garden is decorated with colorful tulips. Visitors can enjoy a meal or a breakfast in the mansion houses used as restaurant now and take lots of pictures.

Trees really bloomed this year in Istanbul as there were little rain. This was in March.

After knee-deep snow, and knee-deep water over my garden... there's still something alive!

Corydalis, Ginger, Daffodil leaves, Nodding Trillium, and Bloodroot with the Cherry tree bark help make a pleasing design. The hostas come later.

One of our favorites in the spring because of the fantastic color. Here the leaves are just beginning to unfurl.

After the storm, the beauty. Following a southern California "Winter Storm" which left 24' f snow in the mountains and 3" of rain in the valleys, I awoke this morning to find this beautifull Iris in full bloom covered with raindrops glistening in the early morning sun. The leaves were mostly brown and did nothing for the beauty of the bloom.

Although unwelcome in the garden...there is beauty in a weed.

We have a wildlife garden, designed to attract and support animals. It's not hard; you just use very few chemicals and provide a water source, brush pile, and sources of food. Tree frogs are very sensitive to a polluted environment, so if we can "grow" them, we must be doing something right. BTW, he's sitting on top of a birdhouse.
