I took this photo in Caieiras Island, Vitoria, southeast of Brazil. The litle bird is a Masked Water-tyrant. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. My Masked Water was going to swim because it's time of summer fun!

I went to Patagonia last march, summer in South America. Punta Loma is a reserve near Peninsula Valdez, Argentina. In Punta Loma I saw families of sea lions having fun on the beach! Unforgetable! Once in a life summer vacation!

Summer means vacation for me and I usually visit Maine! I love to take pictures of the wildlife and the local sites.

Summer also means the dragonflies are out in full force. I thoroughly enjoy trying to get closeups of these extraordinary insects.

Some people say that Winsford is the most attractive village in the Exmoor National Park - on a sunny summer's day I probably can't disagree!

These special "baskets" (in german: Strandkorbe) are very famous on the beaches at The Northern Sea as like as at the Baltic Sea; they are very useful, because they protect from wind, sand and sun and are also very comfortable. Have you never try them???

I know that Webshots can't handle vertical images for the challenge. I am just feeling a little rebellious. They can hire a high school kid for an hour to change their template.

A racking horse is a breed from the Tennessee Walker. It was recognized as a breed in it's own in 1978. It is known for it's single foot gait and smooth ride while racking. basically high stepping similar to a Tennessee Walker. This was the Blue ribbon winner for the walkingbred Open.

Canoeing on Crooked Lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There are no motorized boats allowed on the lake, unless you live there.

When you are having some summer fun there's usually plenty of these pesky things to be seen, heard, felt... and the memories of them felt after the fun is done.

It may not be summer "fun" to those that HAVE to do it, but for those that don't HAVE to, it is fun... baling hay etc.

Have some fun with your food this summer, change amain couse into a desert. My homage to Master Chef Hubert Keller. I made the Bun is made of Sweet yeast Dough, The buger patty is chocolate mouse, the cheese is Mango Nectar mixed with sugar and gelatin, the pickles are Kiwi, the Tomatoes are strawberries and the Ketchup is Raspberry syrup. Not seen whip cream as Mayonaise under the buger patty. BTW this is not a full size buger the plate is only 6" edge to edge.

A summer boat ride on the lake is pure contentment for this great grandchild of mine.

Ok, this probably deserves some kind of more poetic title :o) Something like "Fallen stars"? Oh well. I like this photo a lot...
