Did you ever try to find a single tree when this is what surrounds you?
published by: police370
Pick your own favorite tree. You can walk this path then at the end climb 425 steps to the top of the water fall. Or descend 200 steps and walk another path trough the woods along the rest of the falls. While you are there, enjoy the tallest water fall east of the Mississippi. Tired? There is a motel seen in the upper right corner on the ridge top. Rest and hunt your tree some more. Amicalola Falls. After driving 200 miles around the north Georgia Mountains and not finding much of anything I gave up for the day. Still on the hunt though.

A year in a Tree's life....
published by: ALDitzler
This small Maple tree sits among the brush on a huge rock, surrounded by water in the dam in our front yard. She shows off her color in the Fall. The migrating geese come through in the Fall. In Winter, the tree sits bare surrounded by ice and snow. In Spring the geese come back. It becomes their safe-haven as they sit on their lone egg awaiting new life- mama 'hides' on the rock under the tree in her nest of feathers while her partner swims back and forth in her protection. During Summer, kids swim from and hang towels over the rock and tree. Late Summer and early Fall, Seniors students come to have their portraits taken on the island by the vibrant yellow-colored lone tree. A lot of pressure for one small tree.
