Found this tulip with the lovely rembrandt like pattern of color in a grouping of Menton tulips that I had planted a few years ago.

One of my original flower capture as it came from the camera. Bubbles have been added to have some fun and brighten the spring flower scene. This is part of an entire album like this.

Not a tulip, but a spring flower. Entered in the creative-challenge-tulips because last week the challenge was announced to be spring flowers.

I am not sure when the challenge was changed from simply spring flowers to spring flowers -tulips, but I decided to enter these pasque flower photos. Webshots changed the challenge back to spring flowers.

These tulip grow in front of my porch. I bought them as a mixed bag and they turned out to be just these 2 colors that work wonderfully together.

In Minnesota, it's still very early spring and cold. Parts of the state just had 3 snowstorms in a row. Tulips? Who are they kidding. Anyway, I went out and took 3 photos of what we have coming up. Aren't they just lovely?

I wonder how they are looking in Alaska, Australia, Iceland, Greenland, etc. What a laugh.

This was taken on April 7,09...the last snow of the season....I have never seen tulips close themselves up like this after they had bloomed. Self defense??

Even in Brazil we can get them from time to time, maybe not as beautiful as in Holland or anywhere else, but we certainly appreciate them!

Susan took over my spot where I had lain down to take a low perspective shot of a field of bluebonnets, so I took this shot of her sitting among those very bluebonnets.

The blossoms on these tulips resemble firy flares, hence the title.

Lauritzen Garden is nice enough to give us a taste of spring, even if it's indoors. The antique urn full of tulips makes a good centerpiece for a formal bed.

Along with the ocotillo, Palo Verde trees are the first to bloom. There are millions of tiny yellow flowers so it makes the tree look yellow. The trunks and branches are green.

Ocotillos are the first to bloom in this desert along with the Palo Verde tree. We have had little rain this winter so flowers will be here later rather than sooner.

The cactus are just beginning to bloom. The ones in my yard have not even opened yet.

Ok, at my daughter's house she has 2 year old twins and her only , lonely tulip I could have photographed for the challenge was sat on before I got to it.
