Shot from the second row center stage at Rose State College Performing Arts Center (same venue as The Rippingtons). John Kay very animated on stage and also funny!! A sellout crowd of 1400.

At Frontier City, BOC opened the show with an hour long set. Steppenwolf's set was about 1hr 15min long. Pretty much the same show as the April 11 show. Kodak 800 film and a 50mm & 135mm lens.
published by billokc
Shot from 8 rows in front of the stage at the remodeled Civic Center Music Hall. Excellent show, excellent acoustics! A sellout crowd of 2500.

Shot at the Myriad Convention Center. Not good seats for a photo shoot, these are the best. Closeups are from the overhead video screen. A sellout crowd of 15,000. As close as you can get to seeing Led Zeppelin these days...

pics from the concert. Lousy seats in the balcony. Used slide film, big mistake. Meacham Auditorium, University of Oklahoma Field House.

pics of the Jimmie Spheeris/Moody Blues concert from the fifth row in front of the stage. Myriad Convention Center. Spheeris was killed by a drunk driver July 4, 1984.

At the Ford Center in OKC. Last minute decision to attend this, not the best location for a photo shoot. Used a 135mm telephoto & Kodak 800 film, these were the best out of about 12 exposures...sorry, no closeups. Excellent show, sellout crowd of 18,000.

A sellout crowd at the same venue as the John Kay Steppenwolf show in April. A great show with lots of stories from Ian as well as answering questions from the audience. Lots of fun!

A sellout crowd of 550 at the intimate venue of the Sooner Theater in Norman, OK.

At the Zoo Amphitheater with a crowd of about 8,000. First set was 60 minutes. The guys took a 15 minute break and the second set was 90 minutes including a three song encore. All the hits, but not Ohio, Long Time Gone, or Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.
published by billokc
Pretty much a sellout crowd at the Zoo Amphitheater. Doobies' set ran about 90 minutes, then a short break for the road crews before REO came out. The weather was NOT hot, thankfully! Keith Knudsen is visible in some shots. He died February 8, 2005.

Not quite a sellout to see Sammy Hagar with Van Halen at the Ford Center. Thanks to Dano from KRXO for the free ticket. His lady friend was too ill. Two lenses used: a 28~50 zoom and a 80~200 zoom. Film is Kodak 800 (what else).
published by billokc
A sold out crowd at the Ford Center. Robert Cray opened the show with a 45 minute set. Clapton played 2 hours. Lots of tunes from the Derek & the Dominos era, a couple of Hendrix tunes, some Robert Johnson tunes. The blond guitarist is Derek Trucks.
