Featured Entertainment Member's Choice Digital Art 06 November 2007 ~ My stats will roll over soon with one million views and countless downloads here on Webshots and I have all my wonderfully delightful family, friends and fans to thank for this amazing milestone!! I have been a premium member on Webshots since 2003, yet was completely inactive until December 2006. Until that time I only viewed images, mostly Pro Shots for use with e-cards and such as that, and occasionally downloaded images for screensavers, had only one album up, my original Sharon ~ Ourjrny ~ The Heart Within the Art album of myself with a few shots of my family and my German Shepherd Dogs, and only a few travel photos. I always protected my images and was reluctant to post them on the internet. I set up Pro Gallery profile albums on Shutterfly and several other sites, but they didn't have an open forum so we may view other member's images but we cannot comment on them, so there was no interaction or feedback. Then one day this last December in the Alaska darkness and deep winter with temps averaging minus -52F, after reading an entire collection and series by a well known author, I considered everything and decided that if I don't post my images, no one will ever see them and they'll just rest in my digital storage trunk forever. And so I began a massive upload creating collections, visiting people and making contacts on Webshots of those whose work I admire. My friends stats were carefully chosen and it has been interesting and wonderfully fun to meet so many wonderful friends around the world who share the same values and great love for the fine art of photography and digital art. I am so inspired by the wonderful feedback!!! I only began uploading and creating collections 10 months ago and at that time had 0 Fans, 0 Friends, about 86 views and 0 Messages!!! So from December until now, in less than ten months, the viewing stats have skyrocketed from 86 to over 990,000 and climbing with many wonderful features, and for that I am enormously appreciative and completely astonished!! But more importantly, of the most wonderful things to come from all of this is to have met all of you!! Thank you so much!!
