from album: SOME of MY PAINTINGS
Mostly water colours, some are copies of great Masters very difficult to realize as that technic requires short time, some were made looking at travel brochures, many are pure inventions of my mind but always correspond to something I saw.
picture: 1292_ 0991a Petworth Lake from JMW TURNER

That is with no doubt one of my master pieces in water colour reproductions of the Great Painter Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851), the king of light, precursor of Impressionnists. This painting has an incredible story; I did not know very well this fantastic Artist, only some of the large oil paintings made for the British Royal Court; In 1983 I visited the large exposition dedicated to him in Paris Great Palace; I have been immediately wondered by this complex sky mostly because I did an imaginary painting with the same sky but flipped horizontaly and of course with another landscape under; What a pity I have sold mine some days before this discovery! I bought the museum book of the rich 1983 Paris exposition and tried to reproduce this master piece; When finished, I had a hard result, dryer than the Master 's one; Some months after, I learnt in an Art book that Turner painted it not on a white sheet of paper but on an orange cartoon; I prepared immediately a glass of orange water and applied quickly on all the surface: The Turner appeared, identical!!! It has been shown to the Louvre Conservator and said to be a precious copy!

Various styles of clothing, worn in the best circles of Fairyland. Some clothes are also seen on Earth, but I am not sure if the wearers are human or elflike.

Visitors from space are seldom seen and only by glimpses. Are they tourists or scientists? Do they secretly help us or do they have belligerent intentions?

Fairyland lies just around the corner of our eyes, but at the seaside, lulled by the sound of the waves, one may easily catch a glimpse of it.

Fairies living in woods tend to be more secretive and shy than sea-fairies are. Some are apt to tease or even vex innocent passers-by.

A lot of fairies of all kinds live near brooklets, rivers and ditches. Some are rather gloomy, others are lively and gay. They often look wettish and love swimming.

Fairies, especially elves, like to be about in the flattering light of the moon. Each phase of the moon appeals to other kinds of fairies. New moon is naturally liked by more secretive species.

Along paths and roads fairies of all kinds find niches where they can live quietly and undisturbed by us people. Wandering fairies have their own paths to go by.

Pictures about the most fairylike and mysterious of all seasons: autumn. In autumn, drunk with colours and maybe elfish liquors, fairies sometimes loose their prudence and can more easily be observed.

Under his reign fairies are scarse. Many hibernate under piles of leave and branches, others retire to warm shelters. But their are, just like on Earth, always sturdy one's who brave the cold.

If you like it or not, quite a lot of wandering fairies potter about on your grounds and even once in a while in your house. If they settle with you, you will know luck and good fortune for the rest of your life.

Perhaps in the case of these eery beings their gruesomeness is partly in the eye of the beholder.

Fairies usually sleep throught the long hot days of summer. Most of them like to be about in the cool, clear nights and early mornings of summer, but the more secretive species don't. Elves enjoy the abundance of summer-flowers.

Any type of weather is favourite by some species of fairies. In fact a lot of fairies like rough weather. The continuous changes in the weather that baffle meteorologists are caused of course by weather witchery.
