We took a drive up the coast to Newport, which is about 2.5 hours from North Bend/Coos Bay. We stopped along the way to take pics... lots of places I've never seen before.

picture: Final Look
published by: rjscholten
After climbing back up the cliff and while I was walking along the trail on the ridge north of the cove, I took one last look back to see if I could catch a final glimpse of my new friend. But there was just the crashing surf, the wind, and the big blue Pacific. All I had was the memories of an experience that I will never ever forget! A once-in-a-lifetime experience! After a short but exciting walk along the cliffs, there is small flat area perfect for sitting and watching for whales while enjoying the sensational views. This is a self-portrait of me looking out to the south, with Mt Humbug visible on the left side of the photo. (dsc_0231ncs)
