When I retired in 2006, my friends at the office gave me a beautiful blue lily basket. I replanted it in my front yard flower garden but last year due to the lack of rain, they never bloomed, but look at them so far this year.

Alcea digitata and Alcea setosa - (Bristly Hollyhock) are known all over the world. Here in Israel they appear to grow wild in some areas. They can grow up to 2 meter height.
