A blue whale, like all baleen whales, has two blow holes and no teeth. The blue whale feeds almost exclusively on small, shrimp-like creatures called krill. Blue whales remain on the surface of the water an average of 8 to 10 blows prior a dive which can be as long as 20 minutes.
