The St. Louis Zoo's Flight Cage was built in 1904 for the 1904 World's Fair! It was remodeled a few years ago and is now referred to as the Cypress Swamp, modeled after some of the Cypress swamp areas in Missouri. It is a free flight cage! P1110655

Some of the group say this is a Great Egret; I had originally thought it might be a Snowy Egret, but unless the bird wears a name tag around his neck, I really never know for sure. P1130179
