For New Years, a group of us cross-country skied in 4.5 miles to a friends' cabin on Diamond Lake, OR. Flanked by Mt. Bailey (8368 ft.) on the left and Mt. Thielsen (9182 ft.) on the right, the Diamond Lake area is not short on scenery. Our route to the cabin is in orange, the way out in purple.
