Keyser Run Fire Rd-Little Devils Stairs, Oct 2004 (7-8 mile hike, can be strenuous). The best part of this hike is the canyon and gorge. You see a few scenic views from the fire road. But the best part of the fire rd is Bolen Cemetery. Make sure you stop.

Hiking this winter in the Shenandoah has been difficult because Skyline Drive is closed more often than not from snow and ice. But with a good map, a little creativity, and a sense of adventure you can keep on hiking.

The trail provides access to a number of cascades that drop gently into pools. The Rose River Falls is 67 foot high, and is very full after it rains. Follow the Rose River Trail to Hogcamp Branch, then follow the Branch trail to the Rose River fire road.

The Tuscarora-Overall Run Trail Loop is a 10-mile hike, passing two very beautiful waterfalls. This hike has very steep descents and ascents. You need to take this hike after a week or two of rain. You will not be disappointed.

This album is slightly different from my other albums. It does include pictures taken while hiking in Montana. But it includes non-hiking pictures, and a few pictures that are not in Montana proper, but have a Montana connection. This album will continue
