Welney Ouse Washes are a Wetlands and wildfowl Trust Nature Reserve, every year thousands of Whooper and Bewick Swans fly from the Artic to winter here. There are also many kinds of duck and other waders.

Brighton Bay is part of Lake Ontario and lies just east of Presquille Provincial park. We took a mid winter trip out last week and enjoyed this wonderful scene. From only one introduced pair 2 decades ago, we now have over 200 year round resident swans.
