Panthera Pardus Saxicolor. It is probably the largest of the leopard sub-species. It is endangered in the wild, the few left occur in Afghanistan, Armenia and neighbourin ex-Russian Republics. There are less than 200 in the wild. There are 172 in captivity around the world, belonging to the Captive Breeding Programme
