The Lamping Trail is located in the Marietta District of the Athens Unit in the southwest corner of Monroe County. This Trail is in the heart of Ohio's Appalachian Plateau.

I hiked the Short Loop of the Kinderhook Horse Trail, the newest of all the trails in the Wayne National Forest. The total mileage for the Kinderhook Trail is 16 miles (for the Long Loop) and 5 miles for the Short Loop. It is located in the Marietta Unit.

This was our weekend Fall hike on this beautiful Loop Trail located in the hilly Appalachian Plateau of southeast Ohio. Archers Fork Trail is northeast of Marietta in NE Washington County.

Inspired from the book "50 Hikes In Ohio", I and a friend decided to do a weekend backpack trip on the Archers Fork Loop Trail.
Archers Fork proved to be a very rugged Trail. Nested in the southeast part of Ohio, in the hilly Appalachian Plateau.

This 16 mile loop trail is in the Ironton Unit of Ohio's Wayne National Forest, located off CR 29 just 6 miles north of the city of Ironton. My only "gripe" was I wish I had a better quality person as a hiking partner. :(
