Willim Elsschot was a pseudenonym of Alfons De Ridder, a well known and a populair writer in Belgium. When I walk alongside the roadworks at Antwerp I shaw on his statue a black bird on the head of this writer. Is this a sign? - Willem Elsschot is een pseudoniem van Alfons De Ridder, een bekend schrijver in België. Toen ik langs de werken aan de Leien liep, zag ik een zwarte vogel op zijn hoofd zitten.
