I've known her for a couple of years now. She's really sweet and will let me pet her just about anywhere. She only hisses at me when I get too close to any of her very young babies. UPDATE: 2/15/2008 Sunshine is doing good and has stopped by to seem me periodically since I took Nibblet in late January. She's been hanging around with a lovely black cat, who I suspect is male. UPDATE: 11/01/2008 - Unfortunately, Sunny was found, by me, to have been hit by a vehicle on Greenfield Avenue, which is the street below ours. She was not left on the side of the street, resting by the curb as I saw her. My dad, awesome as he is, stopped late at night and moved her body into a patch tall grass in a natural area by the side of the road. I was not allowed to do more than that, and I hope she is now not in any pain. I had seen a black kitten sitting in the center of the back street, within view of my house, and I believe it was her last kitten. I had gone down to see it, but it moved off to the side of the road into a patch of grass. Then it would move back when I left (and I think it was waiting for Sunny). A group of early teen girls also found the kitten and took it in. They had knocked on my door, to see if it was ours, and I told them what I thought of it (being Sunny's baby). They took it to the local veterinarian's office the next day, Monday, and even came back to let us know the kitten was in good health and that they were going to keep it. I was very happy. What a lucky kitten!
