I took these shots for a fellow Prelude owner who asked about radiator upgrades but I thought I'd add them to this album in case anyone out there was also in need of a good reference for a quality rad/electric fan setup that takes up little space. If NASCAR runs with C&R they should be good enough for anyone cruising through this site. I'll give them 2 thumbs-up! This a view of the rear of my C&R Racing radiator/SPAL fan install. This setup is much slimmer than the stock setup which had dual fans and a large surrounding housing. This single SPAL fan pushes 1000 cfm of air as opposed to the dual stock fans which pushed 750 cfm TOTAL. Also in view is the DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic coated headers, DC Sports battery brace, and the Forbidden Motorsports cooling plate (black with "fb" logo) to direct incoming cool air to the hot engine bay.

From the top you can see how slim this C&R Racing radiator/SPAL fan setup is once the stock dual fans and housings have been removed. The SPAL fan housing only extends out to the middle of the hose clamp above it in the pic. After researching the options when my stock radiator needed replacement, this setup from C&R Racing/SPAL offers top performance in a compact package that is very easy to install. The stock dual fan setup pushed 750 cfm of air total as opposed to the single electric SPAL fan which pushes 1000 cfm of air on its own. The slim C&R/SPAL setup eliminates the bulky stock fan shrouds and opens up a lot of space just before the ceramic headers. The Forbidden Motorsports (fb) cooling plate works as well as it looks in directing the flow of cool outside air to the hot engine bay.
