História:
Originalmente entregue novo ao Loide Aéreo Nacional, em 10 de dezembro de 1959. Foi arrendado pela PANAIR DO BRASIL, mantendo o mesmo registro, e batizado como "Bandeirante Garcia de Avilla". Retornou ao LOIDE em março de 1961, batizado de "Rio Grande do Sul". Em janeiro de 1962, a VASP assumiu o controle do LAN, bem como seus aviões. Em 1975, foi armazenado em Congonhas/SP; depois, em 27 de janeiro de 1978, foi comprado pela Atlas Aircraft Corp e registrado com a matricula atual N779TA. Em fevereiro de 1981, foi transferido para a Trans Air Link Corp., e em agosto de 1989 comprado pela Northern Air Cargo.
