See why I call these the "insurance seats"? These stuffed animals are about all that can fit comfortably back here, but it's fine with me. This photo gives you a view of the rear console between the seats which is a large lockable storage area. The large console design was later thought to be too restrictive and was changed in either the '93 or '94 model year to a seat-level divider to give the impression of more space in the rear seat area. The drawback of this change meant that there was now NO lockable storage area at all within the passenger cabin. In the trunk there is a 400W Rockford-Fosgate "Punch" amp and 15" Cerwin-Vega subwoofer. I fabricated a port between the rear seatbacks to give the bass full access to the cabin [The black fabric was used to cover the port since it matches the speaker grilles in the rear deck- I couldn't find fabric in a shade to match the surrounding blue trim]. Also located in the trunk is a JVC 12-disc CD changer connected to the JVC head unit in the dash. The JVC head unit has an additional CD slot behind the powered face of the deck as well as the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play unit hard-wired through one of the AUX inputs to play my iPod through the system. **Since this photo was taken the rear deck speakers have been upgraded to a set of Infinity Reference 6.5" midbass to go with the Infinity Reference 6.5" component set in the front doors and dash.
