The 24" gauge line which operates at Saginaw Children's Zoo (Saginaw, MI). The loco is an Allan Herschell 'Iron Horse' S-24 which was built in the 1960s. Photos taken September 2003.

The impressive 30" gauge railroad which operates at Detroit Zoo. The line forms a useful transport link and runs for about a mile from one end of the zoo to the other. It first opened in the 1930s.

This 24" gauge line - known as the Timbertown Railway - operates at Michigan's Adventure amusement park (Muskegon, MI). The ride is quite short and not very exciting - it basically loops around a flat featureless field.
