Sometimes there is some interesting traffic at the Gatineau airport. A Pitts S-2 makes a regular appearance for example. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get a few shots of this Aeronca Champ.

Vintage Wings of Canada held their first Open House on 2 June 2007. The hangar was open to the public, the pilots were able to build their time in the aircraft with practice flights and there were visiting aircraft.

I then headed east from Central Square to Gnome in search of a large warbird, a B-52. I found it displayed in a memorial park on the former Griffith AFB. It is an imposing airframe.

I then headed north to find Wheatfield, a suburb of Niagara Falls. There I found the municipal garage with a UH-1 on display. The machine is in decent shape except for the fact birds have found a way inside.

After an overnight stay in Ontario, I headed west along the 401 to Windsor where I crossed the border into Detroit. I then took a bit of a side trip north to the Detroit suburb of Mount Clemens to photograph the F-101 at the legion hall there.

Vintage Wings of Canada held their third Open House on 4 August 2007. The hangar was open to the public, the pilots were able to build their time in the aircraft with practice flights and there were visiting aircraft.

After leaving Thunder Over Michigan I took a drive west to Jackson before heading home to the east. In Jackson I found the T-33 displayed at the EAA at Jackson County Airport / Reynolds Field. This example appears to be very well maintained.

Not far from the Toronto Aerospace Museum is Defence Research and Development Canada. The name says it all. They are preparing to mount a CF-116 on a pedestal out front of their facility. I found the CF-116 in a parking lot waiting for a paint job.

Continuing south into Pittsburgh I managed to find the ANG, with the F-102 parked out front. The guard disscourage photography of the gate so be sure to ask permission before photographing the F-102 if you visit. The other aircraft are off limits.

Not too far from Eden is Hamburg. After some trouble finding my way though contruction in Hamburg was was able to find the VFW on the outskirts of tow with a pole mounted A-4 and AH-1.

From Zanesville it was a long trip to the Pittsburgh area. I found my way to the east side of Pittsburgh, more specifically New Kensington. At the VFW there is a UH-1 displayed.

One of the newest events in Eastern Ontario is the Classic Air Rallye. This was the second year for the event presented by Flight Works at the Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa. Although small, it was a fantastic show.
