The really great part of being an American Scout in Spain is getting off base and out into the countryside to see how the "real world" lives. We started in this great mountain town and hiked to a great pasture ouside Archos de la Frontier.

We camped where British Admiral Nelson defeated the Spanish Armada. Great beach and mighty sand dunes, but its not a scenic area that Spainards like to promote. Too many bitter memories. Its also a hot spot of current day black market smuggling.

This is our new sledding hill which is 300 feet long & drops well over 100 feet, from top to bottom. This is a very serious sledding hill for sure. The actual party was on Dec. 23. We had 40+ people show up & everyone had a tremendous time.
