Of all our adventures, perhaps the best of the entire trip was our pilgrimage to the Canadian war cemetery at Dieppe, a subject covered at length later on. I put this photo first because 1) it made a nice splash photo for the album and 2) the 4 or 5 mile walk we made to the cemetery is a good example of the effort we put into our trip. This cross, apparently from the 17th century, was along the country road to the cemetery and is but one of many treasures we found on our outings.
