Skenfrith Castle (Monmouthshire, Wales) -- Welsh Ynysgynwraidd -- one of the English castles in Wales. One of the Three Castles -- with Grosmont and White Castle -- it was built in the 13th century (1219-1232) along the English-Welsh border, on a spot fortified soon after the Norman Conquest. Now a Cadw site, with neatly maintained grounds along the River Monnow, right in the village of Skenfrith.
