These photo's were taken in April 2003, between Quartzsite and Kingman Arizona on 4x4 trails, Route 95 and part of Route 66. This route runs through Parker, Lake Havasu and Oatman, Arizona along the Colorado River and the Bill Williams Wildlife Preserve.

Dead Horse Point State Park is a few miles from Canyonlands National Park. Named for a herd of horses that died of thirst there, DHP is on top of a plateau at 6000 feet of elevation, 1900 feet above the Colorado River that meanders below.
