Kittilä and Levi are located about 180 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in the north-western part of Finland. Lapland is the northern area of Scandinavia bordering on the Arctic Circle in the south and the shores of the Arctic Ocean in the north. Finnish Lapland shares borders with Norway, Sweden and Russia.
