Look at the "favela" in the hillside of the mount, in the closest plan. By night they seem intense lighted Christmas decorations. Of course, the reality of living there has nothing of mystic, I guess....

In this photo we have to the right the zone of Flamengo, between this and the mount of Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf), and covered by the trees, in the the center, is the beach and the Bay of Botafogo and its residential zone. To the right the lowest part of the Corcovado belvedere, where some people, extending hands, looks like wanting to touch the Pão de Açúcar "morro" (mount).
