Lake Mead National Recreation Area, By Water and By Land

An oasis in the desert southwest, Lake Mead is one of the largest man made lakes in the world. Due to drought, the water level has dropped more than 60 ft. of capacity, creating thick white bands along the base of the rock walls.

Walk in the treetops along the new Lotterywest Federation Walkway in Kings Park. The Walkway reaches a maximum height of 16m at the apex and extends 620m through the Botanic Garden. Elevated section is 222m long,including the 52m glass arched bridge.
