Red Spouter, on the Fountain Paint Pot tour in the Lower Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. According to the NPS site, it was formed during the Hebgen Lake earthquake in 1959. This particular thermal feature exhibits the behavior of fumaroles, hot springs, and mud pots, depending on the time of year you visit.
We visited in the spring, so this would be spring behavior (obviously). Once the water table drops in late summer and fall, it becomes a hissing fumarole.
