We crossed into Scotland and drove to Glencoe, site of the Campbell's famous massacre of the MacDonalds at 5 AM on the morning of 13 February, 1692. There was considerable controversy when the National Trust for Scotland appointed, as the first manager of the Glencoe Visitor Centre, a man called Campbell.
