Asipulo sits on the southern portion of the Cordillera Mountain Range. Topography is mountainous where the lower slopes are carved into rice terraces for rice production and other crops. 3 tribes inhabit Asipulo: Kalanguya, Ayangan and Tuwali.

The Banaue Rice Terraces are called the Eighth Wonder of the World. It was carved from the high mountain slopes by Ifugao farmers more than 2000 years ago. This man-made structure is also known as giant stairways to the sky.
