This monster saurian was about 12 feet long. Creeping up behind, I poked him with a VERY long stick. His reaction wasn't surprising as he snapped at the stick, almost faster than the eye could see, jaws snapping shut with a loud BANG! He then lunged into the water hole and displayed his anger (See photo "One Angry Croc!) as he turned with open jaws! Photographed recently on West Coast of Queensland's Cape York Peninsula.
