published by: kheil82
The exact same picture people have been taking of Oak Alley since the dawn of photography.
The trees were planted back in the early 1700's by a settler. The house was built in 1839 by Jacques Telesphore Roman, a wealthy sugar planter. The home has been used in several movies, including Interview with a Vampire, Primary Colors, and Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte.
