The 20 miles of dirt road in were intimidating, but Katie's Toyota made the trip just fine. A huge storm system worried us though and we had to leave before seeing everything. The dirt became very slick when wet. Many, many, many photo opportunities here.

It was necessary to hand hold the camera for these photos and I chose not to use flash to preserve the effect of the lighting used in the Scenic tour of the cave. It is found in South Dakota by Custer.

The Oregon Caves is a great day trip for travelers passing between I-5 and the Oregon Coast via Grants Pass/Cave Junction Oregon. It is a National Monument and a must see. It is one of the few public caves that are made of marble not limestone
