National Cemetery of the Pacific
I went up here after hearing about this at the USS Arizona Memorial. The bus ride/walk was really nice, with views all along the way. It was November and the flowers were in full bloom. The Cemetery was very peacful, as it should be. I was wondering what to do at first and then I found the memorials with names listed from WWII. There are 10's of thousands.
Each name has a rank and duty. Lots of young people. It's a quiet place and I saw only about 5 other people there. Not everywhere on Oahu is sun and fun!

The Memorial Building houses a chapel and an impressive mosaic gallery detailing Pacific Theatre conflicts of World War II and Korea. It includes a series of stairways bordered by massive marble walls called the Courts of the Missing inscribed with the names of 26,280 MIA soldiers.
