Certainly the first for centuries! Once upon a time Scotland and Belgium traded directly with each other. This freight and passenger ferry left Rosyth, Fife on Friday 17th May, 2002 when many people, including myself, went down to the Forth to see her off. The photo caught a glimpse just as the ship sailed under the Forth Bridge en route out to the North Sea. The ferry has been ultra-popular ever since.
