The entrance to the Army Corps of Engineers Habitat unit where we started our hunt on the day we received the trespass ticket. It is known to the locals that Garfield County and a local outfitter are operating a trespass trap for unwary hunters. The gates along public roads are clearly marked. But gates along the off paths on public land is unmarked leading the hunter to believe he is still hunting public land.
